L2B was a real rush - I was asked by the LSMOC to lead out the cars on the famous London to Brighton run from Crystal Palace, with  the car badged up, which is strictly illegal. Naturally as I went out at 8.00am the first vehicle I saw was a Police Van coming the other way on a routine patrol, which fortunately didn't notice me. Nor did I see a Police car on the rest of the trip through Croydon, down the A23, and in to Brighton, a trip which took about 1½ hours.
